The first sentence in M Scott Peck’s book, “The Road Less Traveled” says “Life is difficult.” He goes on to say, “Once we truly understand and accept it- then it is no longer difficult. Because once it is accepted, the fact that life is difficult no longer matters.”
I’ve been a therapist for over 20 years, a Nationally Certified Counselor since 1994, a Licensed Mental Counselor since 1999, and a Qualified Supervisor since 2006. My therapeutic foundation has many influences: Existential psychology, Gestalt therapy, Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Solution Focused Brief therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment therapy to name a few.
