Mara Walker is a Life and Career Coach for the Mind, Body and Beyond Center.
A seasoned Human Resources leader with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Relations and Human Resources from LeMoyne College and a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) designation, Mara has enabled the success of individuals and teams for 40 years. Mara previously served as the Vice President of Human Resources and Training at Habitat for Humanity of Jacksonville and held multiple roles at Florida Blue, including Manager of Employee Education, and Leadership and Organization Development Consultant.
Mara serves as a guide who facilitates positive movement and achievement in her client’s lives and careers. Mara is also a Certified Life Coach, being aware that if one’s job/career is out of balance, it may cause one’s entire life to become out of balance as well. Mara creates powerful tools needed for career success. She helps clients showcase their talents by crafting impactful resumes and LinkedIn profiles. She works with clients to develop effective networking strategies to proactively build connections and professional visibility. As a Certified Behavioral Interviewer, she teaches clients how to enhance their interviewing skills and prepares clients to interview with confidence, skill, and finesse. She aids clients develop and implement a plan to positively impact their careers and their lives. Mara also instills insight into life patterns and provides hope, encouragement, and support during life transitions. Helping others succeed is Mara’s mission, passion, and privilege.
Mara is also a dog and animal lover, a former Adjunct Professor in Public Speaking at the University of North Florida, and a Community Hospice volunteer. She loves life and all its creations passionately.
